2-Man Room Clearing

Objective:

Actively clear a room with a 2-Man buddy team in an overlapping entry method.

Steps:

When Primary gives order to stack up on closed door:

• Primary man stacks up on frame side of door and Secondary stacks up behind Primary.
• Secondary taps Primary when ready to breach and Primary readies grenade if available.
• Primary gives breach signal and Secondary moves to breaching position and breaches.
• Primary tosses in grenade immediately as door opens and Secondary moves to a safe position by the side of the door.
• Primary moves in immediately following bang and button-hooks, sweeping the room for obvious threats as he moves to cover frame side corner.
• Secondary moves in immediately following primary and moves to cover hinge side corner.
• Primary and Secondary clear their corresponding corner then sweep to clear towards the center of the room as they continue moving to their cleared corner.
• Primary and Secondary announce “Room Clear” when they have cleared their sectors.
• If no order is given by Primary at this time, Secondary moves to position and covers door previously breached.

When Primary gives order to stack up on open door:

• Primary man stacks up on frame side of door and signals to use grenade for breach if necessary as Secondary stacks up behind Primary.
• Secondary readies grenade if ordered and taps Primary when ready to breach.
• Primary gives breach signal and covers Secondary from immediate threats inside as Secondary tosses grenade inside room.
• Primary and Secondary move to a safe position after grenade is thrown; typically moving back from door slightly until grenade is out of sight.
• Primary moves in immediately following bang and button-hooks, sweeping the room for obvious threats as he moves to cover frame side corner.
• Secondary moves in immediately following primary and moves to cover hinge side corner.
• Primary and Secondary clear their corresponding corners then sweep to clear towards the center of the room as they continue moving to their cleared corner.
• Primary and Secondary announce “Room Clear” when they have cleared their sectors.
• If no order is given by Primary at this time, Secondary moves to position and covers door previously breached.
